Directors Roster

New Directors Roster Additions

We present a preview of five of the directors to be featured in our next Directors Roster, appearing in the First Quarter 2005 edition of Directors & Boards.

Berkshire Hathaway Holdings Inc.    
William Gates III, Chairman, Microsoft Corp.    

Co-founder and chairman of Microsoft since the company's incorporation in 1981. Served as CEO from 1981-2000, when he assumed the position of chief software architect. Also is a director of ICOS Corp. Age 48.

Berkshire is an insurance company. Revenues are $74 billion. Microsoft is a software company. Revenues are $38 billion.

Boeing Co.    
Richard D. Nanula, Executive Vice President and CFO, Amgen Inc.    

In present position since joining Amgen in 2001. From 1999-2001 was chairman and CEO of Broadband Sports Inc., an Internet media company. From 1998-1999 was president and COO of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, a hotel and gaming company. From 1986-1998 served at Walt Disney Co., where he was EVP, CFO, and president of Disney Stores Worldwide. Age 44.     

Boeing is an aerospace and defense manufacturer. Revenues are $52 billion. Amgen is a biotechnology company. Revenues are $10 billion.

Cisco Systems Inc.    
Richard M. Kovacevich, Chairman and CEO, Wells Fargo & Co.
                  
In present position since 1998, after the merger between Wells Fargo and Norwest Corp. Became CEO in 1993 and chairman in 1995, after serving as president and COO since 1989. Joined Norwest in 1986 as vice chairman and COO. Formerly was a group executive and a member of the policy committee at Citicorp. Began his business career at General Mills. Also is a director of Cargill Inc. and Target Corp. Age 61.     

Cisco provides computing network systems. Revenues are $23 billion. Wells Fargo is a financial services company. Revenues are $21 billion.
 
Gateway Inc.    
Joseph G. Parham Jr., SVP of Human Resources, Acuity Brands Inc.    

In present position since 2001. Formerly spent 25 years at Polaroid Corp., where he was president and COO of Polaroid Corp.'s eyeware unit from 1999-2000 and SVP of worldwide human resourses from 1994-1999. Age 55.     

Gateway is a computer manufacturer. Revenues are $3.5 billion. Acuity provides lighting fixtures and specialty chemicals. Revenues are $2 billion.

General Mills        
Paul Danos, Dean, Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College

Has also served as the Laurence Whittemore professor of business administration since 1995. Formerly was a professor of financial accounting and senior associate dean at the University of Michigan.

General Mills is a producer of packaged consumer foods. Revenues are $11 billion.

UnitedAuto Group Inc.
Kimberly J. McWaters, President and CEO, Universal Technical Institute Inc.    

Has been CEO since 2003 and president since 1999. Joined Universal Technical Institute in 1984 and has served in various sales and marketing positions. Age 40.

UnitedAuto operates auto dealership franchises. Revenues are $10 billion. Universal provides technical education training for students seeking careers as professional automotive, diesel, collision repair, motorcycle, and marine technicians. Revenues are $255 million.

USF Corp.    
Glenn R. Richter, Executive Vice President and CFO, Sears, Roebuck & Co.    

Was named EVP in 2004 and SVP and CFO in 2002. Before joining Sears in 2000 held various senior financial positions at Dade Behring International and PepsiCo. Formerly was a consultant at McKinsey & Co. Age 42.     

USF provides transport and logistics services. Revenues are $2 billion.  Sears is a department store retailer. Revenues are $37 billion.
